Feeding America Pathway

Our free, fully virtual program to supports learners as they pursue a certificate in Tableau Data Analytics or Salesforce Administration. We connect participants with social services, coaching and mentorship while they complete a fully-funded, flexible learning program through Franklin University.

To be considered for this program, you must have a high school education or equivalent, live in Central Ohio, and have a device that meets these minimum technical requirements

Join ReadySkill in a free, comprehensive, cohort-based Pathway. Our first-of-its-kind pilot brings together social services, educational providers, and employers to ensure you’re ready for a career on day one.

Your Commitment

Recognizing the time constraints on adult learners, this virtual Pathway is designed to be as flexible as possible. You’ll start the program with a ReadyNess Orientation where we’ll prepare to learn together and will get you connected to your support team. This portion of the program will begin February 1 and take roughly 5-10 hours per week. The learning program, beginning in early March 2022, is self-paced and will require 10-15 hours per week until the completion of the 18-week certificate.

Our Approach

With holistic career and life support, we put you on the best possible path to start or advance your career. Your ReadySkill Advocate will assist with coaching and case management, and will navigate you to social services you may be eligible for so you’re prepared to start your learning program. In addition to gaining knowledge and skills in either Tableau Data Analytics or Salesforce Administration, you’ll receive training in job-readiness, resume writing, interview preparation, and leadership. ReadySkill utilizes its wide employer network to mentor pilot participants, giving you a first-hand look into your desired career and creating recruitment opportunities.

Tableau Data Analytics
Overview

Learn the data skills and analysis necessary for today’s business and industry. You’ll work with Google Sheets to analyze data and build models, learn to use Structured Query Language (SQL) for Data Analysis, and apply data design and visualization principles in Tableau. This business analytics foundation will give you cross-functional skills, real-world project experience, and practice utilizing industry-standard tools. This program was developed in collaboration with Tableau, a leading data visualization tool, and consists of the three required courses below.

Data Analytics with tableau
  • Learn the fundamentals of Business and Data Analytics.
  • Develop your understanding of analytics in the context of a business and to provide a framework to apply topics such as framing a business problem, stakeholder analysis, data wrangling using Google Sheets, data visualizations, descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, and data storytelling in business.
  • Clean, visualize, analyze, and communicate data insights to stakeholders.
  • Learn the fundamentals of SQL.
  • Identify the role and structure of relational databases as they apply to data analytics, apply the Structured Query Language (SQL) in MySQL for data manipulation language (DML), apply the Structured Query Language (SQL) in MySQL for data definition language (DDL), and apply normal forms (1NF, 2NF, & 3NF) for database normalization.
  • Learn the fundamentals of using Tableau Desktop in the context of business and data analytics.
  • Explore the role and application of data visualization in the data analysis process using Tableau.
  • Create and design both static and dynamic tables, data visualizations, dashboards, and stories while incorporating visual design best practices to better communicate insights to the intended audience, such as business stakeholders.

Salesforce Administration
Overview

Learn the foundations of Customer Relationship Management while utilizing Salesforce to build reports, charts, and dashboards to communicate critical information to stakeholders. You’ll learn how to design and customize Salesforce to the needs of your future business and get hands-on experience with the platforms and tools you’ll use as a Salesforce Administrator. This program was developed in collaboration with Trailhead, the official learning provider of Salesforce – the most popular CRM platform utilized by over 150,000 businesses, and consists of the three required courses below.
